Martirio, National Award for Contemporary Music 2016

Singer Martyrdom has been awarded the 2016 National Prize for Current Music, granted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and endowed with 30.000 euros. In its ruling, the jury has resolved to grant this recognition to Martirio for «his personal approach to popular music, from his Andalusian roots, showing the value of the copla to the new generations and for promoting a deep approach to Ibero-American music ».
